Network meeting for users of Talgo workshop machines
On 29 and 30 November 2023, our service department for workshop machines had the great pleasure and honour of welcoming around 20 participants to a personal meeting and exchange of information at Stadtwerke Ulm’s Bauhoferstraße site.
Our agenda for the two days was
- Welcome by SWU and Talgo
- Jürgen Späth, SWU Verkehr GmbH: Presentation of Ulm and SWU
- Gunnar Arnold, Talgo (Deutschland) GmbH: The service department at Talgo in Berlin
- Workshop tour including a visit to the underfloor wheelset lathe and the wheelset diagnostics system
- Tour on a historic tram, city tour and dinner
- Gunnar Arnold, Talgo (Deutschland) GmbH: Possibilities and limits of retrofitting, modifications and machine relocations
- Johannes Rüder, DB Systemtechnik: DB on the way to becoming a qualified operator of wheelset turning machines
- Francisco Carrascosa, Patentes Talgo: TALVI – Automated inspection platform for rail vehicles
- Open and moderated Q&A session
We are very pleased with the success of the event, the lively participation in the discussions and would like to thank everyone who made this meeting possible, especially Mr Gummersbach and Mr Späth as well as the employees of SWU, who were such a warm and experienced host for us on their premises and at their site. The feedback on our meeting was consistently positive and there was a consensus that personal exchange is valuable in all areas, especially in times of increasing digitalisation. We therefore feel called upon to organise a 3rd network meeting. It is in the works…
